NFL: Stanley, Stills go on IR for Rams

ST. LOUIS — The Rams lost two more players for the rest of the season, placing wide receiver and kick returner Derek Stanley and linebacker Gary Stills on injured reserve.
The moves today brings to an even dozen the number of Rams player on IR.
Stanley tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in Sunday's loss to Seattle and is expected to be out six to eight months after surgery. Stills had been playing with bone chips in his left knee and is scheduled to have surgery on Friday.
The Rams (2-12) signed defensive tackle Antoine Burton from Kansas City's practice squad and activated defensive back David Roach from their practice squad.
St. Louis hosts San Francisco on Sunday.
