NBA: Warriors waive second-round pick Hendrix

OAKLAND, Calif. — Monta Ellis has been transferred from the suspended list to the inactive list by the Golden State Warriors, who waived second-round draft pick Richard Hendrix to make room on their roster.
Ellis was suspended for 30 games without pay after he seriously injured his left leg in an offseason crash on a motorized scooter. The suspension expired with Wednesday's loss at Indiana, but Ellis and the Warriors haven't said when he'll be ready to return to action.
Ellis signed a six-year, $66 million contract shortly before the accident, and initially misled the Warriors about what happened.
Hendrix, who played at Alabama, never appeared in a game with Golden State. He was assigned to Bakersfield of the D-League in mid-November, averaging 13.9 points and 10.9 rebounds with the club.
