Huge crowd for second day of Target job fair

For the second straight day, about 1,000 people jammed into the Hawai'i Convention Center hoping to land a job at one of two new Target stores.
Today, job hopefuls were allowed to start lining up at 4 a.m. and the doors to the Convention Center opened an hour later. By 7 a.m., about 1,000 people had entered the center and Target officials told applicants outside that they could return tomorrow or Sunday when the job fair resumed.
The mad rush for jobs today was a repeat of yesterday, when crowds of people swarmed the center, hoping to get one of 1,200 positions. Target plans to open stores in Kapolei and Salt Lake in March.
The four-day job fair continues tomorrow and people will be allowed in to the Convention Center starting at 5 a.m.
