Thirty premium Tangi ukulele were donaterd to 'Ewa Elementary School earlier this month by Sprint Hawaii and Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation.

They are part of a series of ukulele, valued at $39,000, being donated to public schools across the state for music education programs by the two organizations this year.

Other schools receiving ukulele this year include Pauoa Elementary, Jarrett Middle, Fern Elementary, 'Ele'ele Elementary, Central Middle, Kahului Elementary and Kahakai Elementary.

Hawaiian music singer-songwriter John Cruz was on hand at 'Ewa Elementary to help make the presentation to students there.
