NFL: Snow melts at Lambeau; no need for shoveling
Associated Press
GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Green Bay Packers no longer need volunteers to shovel snow at Lambeau Field.
The Packers had originally said snow on Christmas resulted in enough accumulation to require shoveling. But Packers spokesman Aaron Popkey says the rain melted the snow in time for tomorrow's game against the Detroit Lions.
The Packers often ask community members to help shovel the Lambeau Field stands if snow falls before a home game.
This would have been the fifth time this season the Packers have asked for shovelers.
