Passing boat helps save female scuba diver off Big Island

Sailors on a passing parasail boat stopped to help a scuba diver in distress, performing CPR on a 48-year-old woman until a rescue team from the Big Island Fire Department arrived and took over yesterday.
The woman's diving partner said the victim had stopped breathing while they were scuba diving near the Kailua Pier.
The incident was reported shortly before 2:30 p.m. yesterday.
