UH's spring enrollment at highest in over decade

A 4.2 percent increase in student numbers at the 10-campus University of Hawai'i system has boosted spring enrollment to its highest level in more than a decade, the university said yesterday. Preliminary enrollment figures show nearly 2,000 more students systemwide over last spring, bringing total enrollment to 48,246.
All campuses except Manoa posted enrollment increases. UH-West O'ahu experienced the largest percentage increase of all campuses - 18.3 percent.
Hawai'i Community College also experienced a double-digit increase, 15.9 percent, or an additional 338 students. Overall, the community colleges posted a 7.6 percent enrollment increase.
