Track: Two world indoor records set in Russian meet

MOSCOW — Elena Soboleva broke her own indoor world record in the 1,500 meters today at the Russian indoor championships.
Soboleva finished in 3 minutes, 58.05 seconds at the CSKA indoor arena, shaving 0.23 seconds off the mark she set at the Russian nationals on Feb. 12, 2006.
Also Sunday, a regional team set a world record in the women's 4x800-meter relay.
The team of Yevgeniya Zinurova, Olga Kotlyarova, Mariya Savinova and Natalya Ignatova from the Ural Mountains region of Sverdlovsk finished in 8:14.53.
They broke the old mark of 8:18.54 set by the Moscow regional team at the Russian nationals in Volgograd on Feb. 11, 2007.
