The sixth annual Da Hui Backdoor Shootout may get the "green light" today if a northwest swell arrives as predicted.

Competitors are looking forward to six- to eight-foot surf, Hawaiian scale, with it building to 15 feet by tomorrow.

If the contest goes on, it will start at 8 a.m. at Pipeline. Spectators should look for the scaffolding at Ehukai Beach Park.
