Hawaiian Holdings added to index

Hawaiian Holdings Inc., the parent company of Hawaiian Airlines, is now part of the Russell 3000 Index, a stock index that measures the performance of the largest 3,000 common stocks in the U.S. and its territories.
Hawaiian also belongs to the Russell 2000 Auto and Transportation Index, the NASDAQ Composite and other indexes.
HAWAI'I BEER SHIPMENTS DOWN 5.8%
Hawai'i beer shipments fell by 5.8 percent in May compared to the same month in 2007, according to Beer Institute data reported by Bloomberg News.
The figures show Hawai'i beer shipments totaled 84,000 barrels in May. The decline compared with the national average increase of 0.4 percent for the month.
ROYAL HAWAIIAN CENTER WORK DONE
Kamehameha Schools today recognizes the completion of its $115 million renovation of Royal Hawaiian Center after two years of work that expanded Waikiki's largest shopping mall, created a more inviting look to the former bunkerlike complex and introduced many new tenants.
However, 35 of 110 tenants at the 310,000-square-foot mall have yet to open, including an Apple store, a 30,000-square-foot flagship location for retailer Hilo Hattie and the $22 million theatrical production Waikiki Nei.
Remaining tenants are expected to open over the summer after they complete interior construction.
PACRIM LAUNCHES KOREAN WEB SITE
PacRim Marketing Group has launched a Korean language Web site featuring news and information aimed at Koreans visiting or living in Hawai'i.
The site, www.myhawaii.kr, includes interviews, trip planning tips, and online travel booking capabilities.
Since its soft launch on May 15, myhawaii.kr is already being viewed hundreds of times a day and appears in the top five on Google Korea in search engine rankings in categories such as "Hawaii Restaurant," "Hawaii Shopping," "Hawaii Hotel," "Hawaii Event," and "Hawaii Information," the company said in a news release.
The Korean site is modeled after the largest commercial Web site about Hawai'i in Japanese, www.Hawaii-arukikata.com, for which PacRim Marketing Group manages content. PacRim recently enhanced its marketing capabilities and efforts toward the Korean market, increasing its Korean staff to seven.
HILO HAWAIIAN RECEIVES AWARD
The Hilo Hawaiian Hotel has been awarded the 2008 Best of Hilo Award in the Banquet Rooms category by the Washington, D.C.-based U.S. Local Business Association.
The USLBA "Best of Local Business" Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.
Hilo Hawaiian Hotel, a part of Castle Resorts & Hotels, has 286 guest rooms and three meeting spaces to host a variety of events and meetings. The Moku Ola Ballroom can hold up to 600 people for a variety of functions and has the capability of dividing into two sections, as needed.
The ballroom features large windows opening up to views of Hilo Bay, Coconut Island, Mauna Kea and the Hamakua Coast. The Mala Ikena room holds between 28 and 110 attendees in various seating capacities including "U" shape, conference, classroom and theater styles.
