OKINO ACCURATE OFF TEE
Cyd Okino, at 14 the youngest of the trio of Hawai'i teens who played in last week's 63rd U.S. Women's Open, was also the most accurate — by far.
Okino only missed six fairways in her two rounds, although she managed to hit only 19 of 36 greens in regulation.
By contrast, Michelle Wie hit 13 of 28 fairways during the rounds, and 21 greens. Kimberly Kim hit 14 fairways and 20 greens.
All three had 60-plus putts. Okino, Wie and Kim all missed the cut after shooting 10-over-par 156.
