The award is the largest received by the Charities and is part of a $28 million campaign to fund extensive renovations of its Makiki property to bring together more than 30 programs, officials said yesterday at a new conference. In honor of the grant, the property will be named the Clarence T.C. Ching Campus.
Catholic Charities provides services to more than 40,000 people statewide each year, including the elderly and victims of domestic violence.
