The state Department of Transportation advises Oahu motorists of right and left lane closures on Kailua Road, between Kalanianaole Highway and Hamakua Drive, in the Kailua-bound direction, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., on the following dates:

— Friday and Monday, right lane closure

— Aug. 4-5, right lane closure

— Aug. 6-8, left lane closure

The work is anticipated to affect traffic flow in the Kailua High School area and motorists are advised to use alternate routes, which include Kalanianaole Highway to Ulupii Street.

Roadwork is weather-permitting.

Work will continue in the town-bound direction between the same locations from Aug. 11 through Aug. 15.
