All-America honors for 10

Ten Hawai'i junior wrestlers received All-America honors at the USA Wrestling Junior and Cadet Nationals at Fargo, N.D., yesterday. They received the distinction after finishing in the top eight of their divisions.
The tournament runs through Saturday. They are:
Kameona Hokoana, Kamehameha. Cadet Greco-Roman, 160 pounds, eighth place. Lost to Luis Alba of Florida by decision, 6-1, 5-3, in the seventh-place match.
Drake Medeiros, Saint Louis. Junior Greco-Roman, 105 pounds, seventh place. Defeated Dustin Soto of Florida by decision, 3-1, 3-9, 4-2, in the seventh-place match.
Michael Nakagawa, Kalani. Junior Greco-Roman, 112 pounds, seventh place. Defeated Alex Kostenborder of Oregon by decision, 6-0, 6-3, in the seventh-place match.
Raymond Mathewson, Wai'anae. Junior Greco-Roman, 140 pounds, seventh place. Defeated Kevin Timothy of Florida by decision, 7-0, 6-1, in the seventh-place match.
Keiko Akamine, 'Iolani. Junior women's freestyle, 95 pounds, third place. Defeated Emily Webster of Missouri by decision, 5-0, 7-0, in the third-place match.
Pi'ikea Kalalau, Baldwin. Junior women's freestyle, 139 pounds, third place. Defeated Chandra Engel of Kansas by decision, 7-0, 2-0, in the third-place match.
Megan Yamaguchi, Kalani. Junior women's freestyle, 116 pounds, fourth place. Lost to Tiffany Sluik of Iowa by technical fall, 6-0, 6-0, in the third-place match.
Tani Ader, Farrington. Junior women's freestyle, 124 pounds, fourth place. Lost to Amy Whitbeck of New York by decision, 1-1, 0-1, 1-0, in the third-place match.
Ahnjahlee Akuna, Hana. Junior women's freestyle, 146 pounds, fourth place. Lost to Melissa Apodaca of Alaska by decision, 5-3, 7-3, in the third-place match.
Brittni Dinong, Wai'anae. Junior women's freestyle, 102 pounds, eighth place. Lost to Natalie Rutt of Minnesota by fall at the 1:23 mark.
