Kauai brushfire started by fireworks

Kaua'i fire officials suspect children playing with fireworks started a brushfire in Hanam'ulu that burned two acres.
Witnesses told officials they heard fireworks go off in the area between King Kaumuali'i Elementary School and Kapule Highway at 2:56 p.m. Wednesday and saw children running away. Fireworks were also found in the field.
Firefighters from the Lihu'e and Kapa'a stations reported the fire under control at 3:15 p.m.
