Superferry rates to rise $10 starting Aug. 5

One-way rates for the Hawaii Superferry will rise to $59 for travel beginning Aug. 5 through Oct. 31.

The one-way vehicle fare will remain at $65.

One-way fares for seniors 62 years and older and for children ages 2 through 12, retired and active military personnel and their dependents are $49. These fares will be available for purchase on Aug. 5.

The new one-way fares do not include taxes and fees and are subject to approval by the Public Utilities Commission. A fuel surcharge is not applicable. Rates are subject to change.

The current summer promotional rate of $49 each way is still available for bookings made before Aug. 5 for travel through Sept. 30.

Customers can visit http://www.hawaiisuperferry.com/ for schedules and fares and to make reservations. Customers may also make reservations by calling 1-877-HI-FERRY (877-443-3779) from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.

Hawaii Superferry's ship, the Alakai, seats up to 800 passengers and can carry approximately 200 vehicles. It makes one roundtrip morning voyage daily between O'ahu and Maui and a roundtrip afternoon voyage between O'ahu and Maui four days a week operating on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
