Mountain View Public and School Library will reopen at noon Monday following the completion of accessibility improvements.
The Big Island library has been closed since June 9 to accommodate work that included new safety lighting in the parking lots and in the library, an improved handicap-accessible ramp with new handrails, wheel stops in parking places, and a new roof.
The book drops, which were moved temporarily during construction, have been moved back to their original location in front of the school cafeteria.
Library hours remain the same: Monday, noon to 8 p.m.; Tuesday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, closed.
Mountain View Public and School Library is located on the campus of Mountain View Elementary School at 18-1235 Volcano Highway.
