CORAL SPAWNING VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers are sought to collect coral egg-sperm bundles from spawning coral (M. capitata) in Kane'ohe Bay starting at 7:30 p.m. June 3, 4 and 5. The work at the Hawai'i Institute of Marine Biology's Coconut Island will assist a University of Hawai'i oceanography graduate student. Volunteers may snorkel or work in inflatable boats, will receive an orientation and can get transportation to and from UH-Manoa. Information: Jackie at jacquelinelpg@gmail.com.

BLACKBERRY WORK TRIP: The O'ahu Invasive Species Committee leads a trip for advanced hikers to remove invasive Himalayan blackberry on Mau'umae trail, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. June 14. Bring lots of water, a hearty lunch, gloves, hat, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, long pants, long-sleeved shirt and sturdy walking shoes. POUHALA MARSH RESTORATION: Help the Hawai'i Nature Center remove invasive species and create habitat areas for endangered Hawaiian stilts, 8:30-11:30 a.m. June 14.
