The Department of Water will be mailing out 2008 Water Quality Reports to Kaua'i residents this month.

The reports contain information on each of the 11 water systems on Kaua'i including: sources of water; levels of contaminants in the water; compliance with drinking water rules; as well as some educational information.

The Safe Water Drinking Act, a federal law, requires water utilities to provide water quality information to its customers every year.
