Baseball: Johnson moves into second on MLB strikeout list

MILWAUKEE — Randy Johnson took sole possession of second place on baseball's career strikeout list today after getting the Milwaukee Brewers' Mike Cameron to go down swinging in the first inning last night.
It was Johnson's 4,673rd career strikeout, breaking a tie with Roger Clemens and leaving the Arizona Diamondbacks' veteran ace behind only Nolan Ryan, who had 5,714 strikeouts in his career.
The lanky 44-year-old left-hander has 288 career victories, tying him with Tommy John for 24th in the big leagues and leaving him only 12 short of 300.
