TOKYO � Ai Sugiyama will play tennis for Japan at her fourth Olympics.

Sugiyama and Ayumi Morita were selected Thursday to Japan's squad for the Beijing Games.

The 32-year-old Sugiyama qualified for the Beijing Olympics in women's singles and doubles based on the world rankings released June 9. She is ranked 38th in singles and third in doubles.

She has won six singles titles and 36 doubles titles since her WTA Tour career began in 1992.
