Military exercises to close Bellows beach park for 2 weekends

Bellows Field Beach Park will be closed to the public this weekend — Friday through Sunday — and July 18 to 21.
The United States Marine Corps Hawaii has informed city officials that the military's RIMPAC 2008 exercises will require the closing of beach park to the public on both weekends, according to a news release.
The public will be able to use the beach park during the Fourth of July weekend. However, all campers must vacate the park by 8 a.m. July 7.
