Jellyfish influx numbers drop, but caution urged

Ocean Safety officials have reported a huge drop in the number of jellyfish found at Waikiki beach this morning, but they are still urging caution before going into the water today.
"Fifty were found this morning," said Bryan Cheplic, Emergency Services spokesman. "The signs are going to remain up and we're still asking people to check with lifeguards before they go in."
On Saturday, nearly 2,000 box jellyfish unexpectedly invaded beaches along Waikiki and Ala Moana Beach Park, sending 177 people to seek treatment for stings.
