HAMMOND, Ind. — Teen star Vicky Hurst won her third Futures Tour title in seven starts this year, shooting a 5-under 67 today for a one-stroke victory over South Korea's Jin Young Pak in the Horseshoe Casino Classic.
The 18-year-old Hurst had a 3-under 213 total on the Lost Marsh course and earned $12,600 to take money lead with $51,701. The top five on the money list at the end of the season will earn 2009 LPGA Tour cards.
Hurst, who failed to qualify for the U.S. Women's Open, won the Jalapeno Golf Classic in late April in McAllen, Texas, then took the Michelob Ultra Duramed Futures Players Championship two weeks ago in Decatur, Ill.
Pak finished with a 70. Australia's Sarah-Jane Kenyon (72) was third at even par.
