Apo closed it to 3-1 with 1:30 left in the match, but Okano extended his lead to 5-1 on a takedown with 30 seconds remaining. Okano was called for stalling with 22 seconds left, making it 5-2, and Apo could not score after that.

Ryan Higa (Waiakea) def. Chad Diamond (Mililani), 17-16. In the match of the night, complete with two long delays, Higa scored a takedown and three near-fall points midway through the third round to take a 16-12 advantage. Diamond scored an immediate reversal to get within 16-14, and following an escape by Higa, Diamond's takedown in the closing seconds got him within 17-16. Diamond was on top with two seconds left, but Higa held on for the victory. The match was nearly stopped with 31 seconds left in the second when Higa needed a third injury timeout. Higa led 11-9 at the time. The referees got together and decided to continue the match. Diamond scored a takedown to tie it with 13 seconds left in the period. There was another delay five seconds into the third period after an escape by Diamond was finally awarded after a meeting of referees and official scorers.

Nishigaya went up, 3-2, on an escape with 1:43 left in the second period, but Chow grabbed the lead back at 4-3 on a takedown with 1:15 remaining. Nishigaya then tied it at 4-4 with an escape with 35 seconds left in the period. Chow went up, 5-4, on an escape with 1:43 remaining in the match, then scored a takedown seven seconds later to go up, 7-4. Nishigaya closed it to 7-5 on an escape with 1:15 left, but Chow gained a point when Nishigaya was called for stalling with 31 seconds remaining and held on for the victory.

Schaefer then scored five consecutive points over the final 1:05 of the period on two escapes, a takedown and a stalling penalty on Quinlan. Schaefer also appeared to have a takedown with 30 seconds left in the period, but the referees talked it over and disallowed it because the wrestlers were out of bounds.

Auna took the lead on an escape two seconds into the second and took the 8-5 advantage with an escape with 12 seconds left. The wrestlers were called for double-stalling just before the takedown.
