At the Youth Concerto Concert with the Symphony, each young musician will perform one movement from their competition performance piece. Conducted by Maestra Ann Krinitsky, musical highlights include a selection of masterworks by Saint-Saens, Bruch, Lalo, Dvorak and Rachmaninoff.

Tickets for the Youth Concerto Concert tickets are $10, on sale at all Ticketmaster outlets (877-750-4400) and Times Supermarkets.

The competition phase of the HYCC took place in January 2008 and saw nearly 40 competing for a soloist position. The program will be heard simultaneously on KHPR 88.1 Honolulu, KKUA 90.7 Wailuku and KANO 91.1 Hilo. Pianists will perform on the Atherton's Bosendorfer grand piano. Sanders Piano will provide the second piano heard on the broadcast.
