NFL: Patriots re-sign wide receiver Jabar Gaffney

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — The New England Patriots re-signed veteran wide receiver Jabar Gaffney today.
The 27-year-old Gaffney played four seasons with Houston before he signed with the Patriots as a free agent in October 2006.
Last season, he played in 16 games with seven starts and caught 36 passes for 449 yards and a career-high five touchdowns.
In his career, he has caught 218 passes for 2,600 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Coach Bill Belichick said Gaffney is a good fit for the Patriots' offense, calling him a versatile and dependable player.
