Up to 3,000 "adopted" rubber Hawaiian honu will race down the Volcano Express Waterslide at Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park next month as a benefit for the Boys & Girls of Hawaii Leeward clubhouses.

The third annual Honu Race & Family Concert will run from 1 to 7 p.m. March 15.

For $15, a rubber honu can be adopted to race down the Volcano Express in competition for a variety of prizes, including a trip for four to Disneyland.

The $15 donation will also allow you to get on the park's rides from 1 to 4 p.m. that day, or play a round of miniature golf.

Those who cannot attend, or would like to purchase additional honu, can adopt them for $5 each without the park and concert package.
