Kanani Tsugawa has joined the sales and marketing executive team at KHNL-TV and KFVE-TV. Most recently, Tsugawa was an account supervisor at the Harris Consultancy.
ASSOCIATION OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PROFESSIONALS
The Association of Information Technology Professionals Honolulu Chapter has elected Phi Nguyen as president of its board of directors. Nguyen is founder and president of The Database Center. Also elected to the AITP board were Dale Aiello, business manager for The Gartner Group-Hawaii Office; Donnie Shimamoto, founder and president of Intraprise Techknowlogies; Jane Ferreira, a sales executive for Wareforce; Kevin Costa, long-term care development manager for AIG Hawaii; and Luis Rosa, IT manager for Hawaii Employers Council.
KAPI'OLANI HEALTH FOUNDATION
Six new members have joined the volunteer board of the Kapi'olani Health Foundation. The board members are: Kimberly Dey, vice president-grants administrator, Charles B. Wang Foundation; Michelle Ho, principal, Pathfinder Hawaii; Gregg Kokame, M.D., medical director, The Retina Center at Pali Momi; Patricia Loui, president, OmniTrak Group Inc.; Fred Noa, executive vice president, CB Richard Ellis Inc.; and Alana Kobayashi Pakkala, partner and executive vice president, Kobayashi Development Group.
WASTE MANAGEMENT OF HAWAII
Waste Management of Hawaii has hired Jesse Frey as its new market area engineer for the Waimanalo Gulch, Kekaha and West Hawai'i landfill sites. Frey joined Waste Management after serving as a consulting engineer for five years, including three years at Waimanalo Gulch, with EarthTech, an engineering company contracted by Waste Management.
