Eyes, SATs, history on tap at library in March

The 'Aina Haina Public Library will host three free programs for the public this month.
Saturday: "Aging Eyes Seminar" will be conducted by Dr. Hugo Higa at 10:30 a.m. Dr. Higa will discuss the top three aging eye issues for the elderly: macular degeneration, cataracts and glaucoma.
March 15: "Preparing for SAT" will be conducted by SAT instructor Karen Figueroa of Solutions Test Prep at 10:30 a.m. Figueroa will explain the right time to take the PSAT and SAT, how much preparation time is needed and the skills that students will need to do well on the test. March 18: "Remember 1965: Watershed Year for America," a presentation by University of Hawai'i professor Noel Jacob Kent, author of "Hawaiian Islands under the Influence," starts at 6 p.m. This one-hour presentation is based on Kent's latest book about the United States in the 1900s.'Aina Haina Public Library is located at 5246 Kalaniana'ole Highway.
