City holds neighborhood briefings on rail project

The city is hosting a series of updates on a planned $3.7 billion commuter rail starting with an initial meeting tonight in Kapolei.
The briefings will include information on modern rail technology and project progress. Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann, his staff and the transit project team, will be on hand at the following community updates:
• Tonight from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the Kapolei Middle School cafeteria at 91-5335 Kapolei Parkway.
• Thursday from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at Alvah Scott Elementary School cafeteria at 98-1230 Moanalua Road.
• March 17 from 6:30- 8:30 p.m. at the Waipahu Elementary cafeteria at 94-1211 Farrington Highway.
• March 18 from 6:30- 8:30 p.m. at the Farrington High School library at 1564 North King St.
