COLUMBIA, Mo. Missouri linebacker Marquis Booker was dismissed from the team today after the 20-year-old sophomore was arrested on a possible weapons violation last weekend.

Police said Booker threatened to "light the place up" and grabbed a handgun from his car during a parking lot argument outside an apartment complex. No shots were fired.

Two teammates who accompanied Booker after he drove off when police arrived early Sunday will not face any internal discipline. Police interviewed All-American receiver Jeremy Maclin and linebacker Sean Weatherspoon but did not arrest either athlete.

Booker was arrested on suspicion of unlawfully using a weapon and an underage liquor law violation.

He was suspended by coach Gary Pinkel yesterday.
