Washington State University, which defeated Winthrop 71-40 today, will play Notre Dame at 12:40 p.m. Saturday in the second round of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament at The Pepsi Center in Denver, Colo.

The time of the game was not decided until today.

WSU (25-8) is the fourth seed in the East Regional while Notre Dame (25-7) is the fifth seed.

Iolani product Derrick Low scored 11 points against Winthrop to help the Cougars advance.

Notre Dame whipped George Mason, 68-50.
