Imua Family Services is recruiting volunteers to serve as camper caregivers, kitchen crew, lifeguards, medical staff, entertainers or recreational guides for its annual Camp Imua.

The weeklong overnight recreational camp brings 50 school-age children with special needs together with more than 120 volunteers. The event allows parents and caregivers a much-needed week of respite while their children enjoy a program that promotes friendship, confidence, independence and life skills, organizers said. Camp Imua is scheduled for June 7-13.

Donations of food, services and money also are needed.
