The family of Hewahewa, an advisor to Kamehameha I, is planning a reunion at Waimea Valley in October and fundraisers to help defray the costs. The first fundraiser that includes entertainment by Melveen Leed, Richard Wells, Pu'uhonua, Simplicity, Pueo Kane and Inspiration is from 5 to 10 p.m. at Pipeline Cafe in Kaka'ako.

Donation at the door is $20 per person.
