Tony nominations are due today, and it could be that our Loretta Ables Sayre is among the nominees for Featured Actress in a Musical.

She, of course, co-stars as Bloody Mary in Lincoln Center Theater's revival of "South Pacific," now playing at the Vivian Beaumont Theater, where Tony voters and a who's-who of celebs have been trafficking the hit musical.

Ables Sayre reports that the list includes: Nicole Kidman, Steven Spielberg, John Lithgow, Bernadette Peters, Joel Grey, Stephen Sondheim, Terrence McNally, Barbara Walters, Anna Wintour, Michael Kors, Sigourney Weaver and Jim Simpson, Tom Cavanaugh, Ted Kennedy, Eunice Shriver, Nancy Pelosi, Joy Abbott, to name a few. Of course, as mentioned in The Advertiser last week, Bette Midler paid a backstage visit and they shared happy talk about Radford High (both are Rams alumna). Imagine two titas talking pidgin in New York. ...

Ables Sayre's profile is rising; she will appear on CBS' "The Tony Awards Preview Concert," performing "Bali Ha'i" from "South Pacific," along with an all-star cast of Tony-nominated shows, in a special originating from the Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center in the Time/Warner Building. She's on the cast album, due May 27. And she's showing up online at www.theatermania.com, www.playbill.com, www.broadway.com. ...

DESTINED TO DELIGHT: The Brothers Cazimero's "Destiny," dropping May 20 via the Mountain Apple Company, will be their first album in four years. So, it's widely anticipated. Robert and Roland composed new tunes alone and in collaboration with Snowbird Bento, Manu Boyd, Keli'i Tau'a and Kasey Keala Chock. ...

Robert was guest weathercaster on "Sunrise on KGMB9" last week, by the way, and he did a refrain from "Rain, Rain Go Away." That really was a plug for the new CD, since "Destiny" contains traditional rainy day tunes in a medley with Frank Kawaikapuokani Hewett's "Kawailehua'a'alakahonua." ....

WHEE, THE PEOPLE: On The Spot improv comedian Jordan Savusa will address University of Hawai'i-Manoa's spring commencement ceremonies this Sunday as a student speaker. He is graduating with a degree in journalism and a minor in theater. Savusa, also a Ka Leo writer and Kennedy Theatre actor (the lead in "Servant of Many Masters") loves improv. So, will he stick to the script? ...

Tina Wary, co-owner with husband Ed of Auntie Pasto's, Dixie Grill and Tio's Garage, was at KGMB9 recently when daughter Madeline was a Kidcaster on the morning weather and Malika Dudley was weather anchor. Trying not to be an intruding stage mom, she was coaxed by a more famous mom on where to stand to see. It was Nina Clooney, who was here for the Hawaii Romance Festival, and she oughta know; her son is actor George Clooney. ...

Actor Clooney is co- producer on "The Informant," a Warner Bros. flick to be directed by Stephen Soderbergh ("Ocean's 11," "Traffic"). Filming on O'ahu starts this summer. Clooney's Oscar-winning buddy, Matt Damon (three Jason Bourne flicks and a fourth in the works), stars as Mark Whitacre, the hero. ...

EAT 'N' GREET: Chef Alan Wong (Alan Wong's, Pineapple Room) is organizing the Chefs Du Jour gastronomical fundraiser for Easter Seals Hawaii, June 21 at Tamarind Park. Ex-Iron Chef French Hiroyuki Sakai and renowned pastry chef En-Ming Hsu and chef Josiah Citrin (Melisse Restaurant) top the lineup; local faves Roy Yamaguchi (Roy's), Hiroshi Fukui (Hiroshi Eurasian Tapas), Lindsey Ogawa and Toshiyuki Sasajima (Nobu Waikiki), Alan Takasaki (Le Bistro), Donato Loperfido and Philippe Padovani (Elua) and Henry Adaniya (Hank's Haute Dogs) are aboard.

Guests will be able to visit each chef's food station to sample, meet and greet; there'll be wine, sake and martinis, too. Admission: $200 general, with reserved and VIP tables available. Call 536-1015 or visit www.eastersealshawaii.org. ...

TRADE WINDS: Eddie and Myrna Kamae are traveling — first to Las Vegas, where they had hoped to see Bette Midler (but Cher's now in the Caesars Palace slot), because Eddie remembers her standing in line for the Sons of Hawai'i show at the now-defunct Territorial Tavern — then to Utah to see Myrna's family and help celebrate a sister's milestone 75th birthday.

Her relatives mentioned a Hawaiian film festival coinciding with their Midvale, Utah visit. So, guess what? Not only will Eddie join in a jam at a pa'ina on Thursday, but the Kamaes are offering to show their "Lahaina: Waves of Change" documentary on Friday.

"The Utah Hawaiian Film Festival seemed the perfect place to show our ninth documentary," said Myrna. The couple has two more docs in production. ...
