TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE
"Numb3rs," 9 p.m., CBS. CBS seizes our attention tonight, with three straight season finales. For "Numb3rs," that marks the departure of Diane Farr. Farr — who was terrific in two Denis Leary shows ("The Job" and "Rescue Me") — plays Megan Reeves, who finds her political convictions clashing with her job in the FBI. One of Charlie's college colleagues had been arrested as a suspected terrorist. That creates conflict between Charlie and his brother, the FBI agent.
"ET" (1982), 5 p.m., Nickelodeon. Fridays are family-film night on cable and here's the ideal. Brilliantly directed by Steven Spielberg, it's the perfect blend of action, warmth and humor. A lonely lad meets an alien who was accidentally left behind. He tries to help, but officials intervene; then the excitement grows.

"Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story" (2004), 7 p.m., Fox. Here's a comic takeoff on movies about unlikely sports winners. Vince Vaughn needs a winning dodgeball team, to keep a competitor (Ben Stiller) from getting his gym.
"America's Funniest Home Videos," 7 p.m., ABC. Here's the finale of the 18th season. Yes, 18; "Home Videos" is tied for No. 12 on the all-time list of prime-time shows.
"American Gladiators," 7 p.m., NBC. Here's a quick rerun of Monday's season-opener, introducing new games and new gladiators.
"Ghost Whisperer" season finale, 7 p.m., CBS. Melinda learns why her father (Martin Donovan) left and why her mom (Anne Archer) kept it a secret.
"Moonlight" season finale, 8 p.m., CBS. An overenthusiastic vampire has killed someone during passion. Now there's an investigation; other vampires link to defend themselves.
