Indigo restaurant's chef-owner Glenn Chu, right, and Chambers & Chambers wines, will present A Spanish Wine Festival on Nov. 11, hosting "A Table of Tapas" at the restaurant, 1122 Nu'uanu Ave. The event is part of Indigo's 15th anniversary celebration. Cost of the buffet-style tapas spread (from regional hams and cheeses to chocolate-dipped dried figs) is $69 plus 18 percent tip and tax. Reservations are required; 521-2900 or go to indigo-hawaii.com. Also planned at Indigo: Sam Adams beer dinner on Nov. 12; Estate champagne dinner, Nov. 13; Rogue Brewery tasting, Nov. 18; Jack Daniel's dinner, Nov. 19; and Beaujolais Soiree, Nov. 20.

RESTAURANT MEALS CAN BE HOLIDAY TREATS

Gift cards make for easy holiday shopping and local restaurants are beginning to market them. These include Ruth's Chris Steak House, which is offering a $10 gift voucher redeemable at all five Island locations for every $100 in gift card purchases now through Dec. 31. Cards are good Jan. 1 through June 30 next year. Call or visit any Ruth's Chris. Romano's Macaroni Grill in Ala Moana Center and on the Big Island (opening Nov. 24 at Queens' MarketPlace at Waikoloa Beach Resort) has a $5 voucher for every $25 in gift cards purchased now through Dec. 31. Check with your favorite restaurant (or gift card racks in supermarkets, Costco and other stores).
