Volunteers are needed to clean Kahawai Stream from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, beginning across the street from L&L Drive In.

Hui o Ko'olaupoko and the Kailua Bay Advisory Committee are partnering with the city's Clean Water Branch to do the work.

Volunteers will remove litter, plant ground cover and put in erosion-control matting.

Participants should dress to get dirty, wear covered shoes and sunscreen, and bring water. A change of clothes is recommended.
