Findings by Honolulu Fire Department investigators released on Tuesday concurred with an earlier police assessment that the Oct. 22 fire at Central Union Church Preschool & Kindergarten was intentionally set.
The 4:10 a.m. fire heavily damaged the preschool building and destroyed several classrooms, a teacher's lounge, a storage room and an office. Damage was estimated at $1 million.
The case is being investigated by police as a first-degree arson.
