A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and injured about 6:15 this morning at the intersection of Kamehameha Highway and Kahuhipa Street in Kaneohe.

Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city Emergency Services Department, said paramedics treated a man in his 50s and listed his condition as serious.

Police said the man was taken to The Queen's Medical Center for further treatment and evaluation.
