The 2nd Annual International Waikiki Hula Conference opened its three-day gathering today at the Hawai'i Convention Centre, with hula enthusiasts and students from here and abroad in attendance to share, perform and learn the elements of hula and related artistry.

The conference has assembed 128 classes offered by 42 notables in a variety of realms: hula 'auana, hula kahiko, costumes, lei-making, Hawaiian language, chant, history, songs,music and implement-making. Sessions are geared for novices as well as the experienced.

Hula programs will be staged at various Waikiki venues for the visitor crowd.
