Moana Surfrider finishes construction on new banquet hall

One of Waikiki's classic hotels has a new banquet room. The Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa, yesterday announced the completion of construction of its newest function space, the Lani Kai Room, which literally translates as heaven and ocean.
The 3,600-sq.-ft. banquet hall has a beachfront view and can comfortably accommodate more than 150 guests.
The menu offers a variety of local and ethnic foods, including: ahi poke, inari and maki sushi, main course items such as seafood potpourri in a basil snowflake sage sauce, chicken breast with tomato apricot chutney and sherry glaze, and mahi mahi with lemon basil caper beurre blanc, and apple strudel with cinnamon custard, chocolate mousse in glass with open fruit tarts.
High speed internet installation is planned for early 2009.
Kyo-ya Hotels & Resorts, LP owns the two Sheraton Hotels in Waikiki, the Moana and The Royal Hawaiian as well as the Sheraton Maui in Ka'anapali, Maui.
