'Miss Saigon,' opening tonight, adds 3 shows

Prompted by demand for tickets, Paliku Theatre at Windward Community College, which premieres its production of the Broadway musical "Miss Saigon" tonight, has extended the run for three more performances.
The add-on playdates are at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Nov. 1 and 2 p.m. Nov. 2.
The musical, inspired by "Madame Butterfly" and set against war-torn Saigon in 1975, is directed by Ron Bright.
Regular shows are at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays; so far, there is no evening show Oct. 31, Halloween.
Ronald Bright is directing a cast that includes his son, Michael B right, as Chris, the American marine, who toured in a national touring company of the hit show, and Jade Stice, who is Ellen, his wife, who has played that role on tour.
Brittany Browning is Kim, the central character, and Leonard Villaneuva is the Engineer, Les Ceballos is Thuy, and Kawika McGuire is John.
Tickets: $30 adults, $26 seniors over 62, military and UH faculty and staff, $20 UH students and patrons 25 and younger.
