TODAY'S MUST-SEE
"Iconic Ironic America," 5 p.m., Bravo. This jaunty hour leaps cheerily between landmarks. One moment, we're at Niagara Falls or Mount Rushmore; the next, we're at a candy-heart factory. Rippling through are odd details. This was assembled by Tommy Hilfiger, the fashion guy, who knows how to use photogenic people. The mono-named Rives and model Bar Refaeli make great guides.
OF NOTE
"Sanctuary" debut, 6 p.m. (repeats at 8 p.m.), Sci Fi. At first, this seems like a drab crime show, but with nastier deaths. A young forensic psychiatrist (Robin Dunne) meets an all-knowing person (Amanda Tapping of "Stargate"). Stick around, though. We'll meet a tough teen and a scary guy. This all fits together in intriguing ways.
"Ghost Whisperer," 7 p.m., CBS. A young professor can hear dead people but can't see them. Melinda tries to help him, in a fairly good episode.
"The Ex List," 8 p.m., CBS. On one level, this debut hour glows with a sunny, California look. On the other, its story is so-so, at best. Elizabeth Reaser, who was great as the Jane Doe in "Grey's Anatomy," stars. A psychic says one of her former boyfriends is her intended mate; she has a year to find him. There are a few strong moments, plus some lame ones.
"Rock Docs: NWA: The World's Most Dangerous Group," 8 p.m., VH1. Here's a profile of the Los Angeles group that pushed gangsta rap into the mainstream.
"Numb3rs," 9 p.m., CBS. A new agent (Sophina Brown) joins the team and Edgerton (Lou Diamond Phillips) helps.
