The Pacific Whale Foundation is holding its Ocean Discovery Camp the week of Oct. 6 for children ages 6 to 12.

The camp includes a tour of the Maui Ocean Center, exploring tidepools, making papier-mache dolphins, visiting a turtle nesting beach and going on a snorkel cruise. Campers also can take a beginner's surfing lesson from Maui Sports Unlimited.

Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Pacific Whale Foundation's Discovery Center in Ma'alaea. Extended hours are available.

Fees are $67 per day or $284 for the week, with discounts for foundation members.

The camp also will be offered over the Christmas and spring breaks.
