NFL: Trade talk not troubling Lions' Roy Williams

Roy Williams was speechless for a few moments Friday when a reporter asked him if he thought this might be his last game at Ford Field as a Lion.
The NFL trade deadline is 4 p.m. Oct. 14, and the Lions' next home game is Oct. 26. As the deadline nears, rampant speculation about the wide receiver's future in Detroit has provided plenty of grist for the sports-talk radio mill.
"You know what, I never thought about that until you just said it," said Williams, who returned to practice after missing a day with a sore knee. "But I don't think this will be my last home game here at Ford Field. Hope it's not. You never know. Somebody has to make a business decision."
Williams said fans who want him traded need to be realistic about what the Lions might get for a No. 2 receiver.
"I don't even know if I'm worth a first-round pick, to be honest," he said. "And that's what fans don't understand. I might be a third-round — second-, third-round pick."
Williams said his focus was to play for the Lions the next 13 weeks and sounded as if he wanted to remain with the team.
"I don't know what the percentage is of fans who really don't want me here and the fans who just want to trade for me, know that I'm good enough to be here but trade for me to get more players in," he said. "I don't know what that percentage is, but I feel like I've done enough for this football team and for this community to be here and be loved, 'cause all I want to do is win and score touchdowns and give my ball away and give my gloves away and put up the hook 'em horns. That's all I want to do."
