Gov. Linda Lingle is expected to travel to Colorado next week on state business before heading to Nevada and Ohio to campaign for the GOP presidential ticket of U.S. Sen. John McCain and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, according to her staff.
The Republican governor had previously campaigned for the GOP ticket on the Mainland earlier this month.
Lingle was a surrogate for Palin with the national news media after the vice presidential debate at Washington University in St. Louis.
She also gave introductory remarks for Palin at the Republican National Convention last month in St. Paul, Minn.
Both McCain and Hawai'i-born U.S. Sen. Barack Obama, the Democrats' presidential nominee, have targeted Nevada and Ohio as battleground states.
