MLB: Royals hire Gibbons, Seitzer as coaches

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Royals have hired former Toronto manager John Gibbons to be their bench coach.
Gibbons was fired by the Blue Jays in June. He managed Toronto for parts of five seasons.
The Royals also hired former Kansas City star Kevin Seitzer to be their hitting coach. He replaces the fired Mike Barnett.
