Sato Franklin Sigrah "had been drinking and was intoxicated" when he stabbed a woman to death last weekend and then used the knife on the victim's husband and 2-year-old daughter, a prosecutor said this morning in court.

The O'ahu grand jury indicted Sigrah, 19, on charges of second-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder and burglary.

Sigrah was arrested by police in the McCully apartment of his victims. Lyola Mesebluu, 27, died of multiple stab wounds Saturday morning.

Her husband, Keith Mesebluu, 26, was awakened during the early-morning attack, wrestled with Sigrah and was stabbed "multiple times in the chest," Deputy Prosecutor Vickie Kapp told Circuit Judge Derrick Chan this morning.

At Kapp's request, Circuit Chan continued Sigrah's bail at $500,000.

He will be arraigned on the charges later.

The prosecutor's office said it will seek an extended prison term of life in prison without parole if Sigrah is convicted.
